Tuesday’s WOD
2 rounds for time:
- 20 double unders
- 20 goblet squats (1.5/1 pood)
- 30 double unders
- 30 sumo deadlift high-pulls
- 40 double unders
- 40 single-arm russian kettlebell swing (alternating sets of 5)
Cash-out
200 foot sled drag at 75% bodyweight
Don’t forget, this Wednesday August 1st at 5:30pm we’re hosting a special WOD at the box to help the fight against human trafficking. The 27 million workout is part of a monthly effort by The Burn Room to raise awareness for the 27 million people that are trafficked around the world. Each month a new workout is released and everyone pitches in on the way to a goal of 27 million reps. Now it’s our turn to pitch in! Let’s help them get there this month!
Parents! We need your help. The kids area will be a great perk of your membership at CFI. You’ll be able to workout while your kids can relax safe and sound in there. The only problem is that we’re not quite finished setting it up yet and we can tell it’s driving the kids a little crazy. Markers are being used to draw everywhere and then being eaten, toys are being broken (we only have a few toys left), arguments are breaking out between kids and Christy (who volunteers) is having a hard time being there enough to keep things under control.
Please keep an eye on your children and make sure they are staying inside the kids area and behaving themselves. And if there are 5 or more children present, we please ask that one parent volunteer to supervise the kids. That doesn’t necessarily mean that they miss out on their WOD. They can setup their equipment right next to the kids area. But they must keep their attention on the kids, making sure they aren’t rioting in there or trying to escape and make a run for it.
We will be removing all the broken toys and finish setting up the kids area soon. Once it’s done, we do not plan on supplying new toys. Rather, we’ll ask you guys to please bring your son or daughter’s favorite toy with them, so they have something to play with. Then please take it with you when you leave. Any toys left at the end of the night will be removed from the area.
