Double Under Practice!
Game Standard Push-up Test:
3 rounds of max continuous reps of game standard push-ups (2 minute rest between rounds).
With a partner, 20 min AMRAP:
- 40 double unders
While one partner works on completing the double unders, the other partner must hold a front plank. Partners switch after 40 DUs.
A=20 DUs, B=JTs (12″), C=JTs (8″)
Notes and Announcements
The Game Standard Push-up Test is a Fall Challenge workout! We’ll combine your score in this push-up test with your score in the Bench Press and Deadlift workout to form 1 of the 10 Fall Challenge events.
We’ll use the Double Under practice during the skill workout to figure out how to scale the met-con portion of the WOD. If you don’t have double unders figured out yet, or they just aren’t working today (it happens!), we’ll sub in jump touches. Either way, you and your partner will have a great workout.
Now that we’ve seen all of the Fall Challenge events, here’s the list of events along with the portion they contribute to your final overall score. Your relative improvement in each event makes up a percentage your overall improvement. We’ll spend the next couple months racking up WOD attendance and PRs, and then re-measure everything in December. The most improved overall wins the cash!
