Monday’s WOD
4 rounds for time:
- 5 handstand push-ups
- 10 knees-to-elbows
- 15 push-ups
- 20 wall balls
Congratulations to DJ Larson for winning the 2012 CrossFit Intensify Spring Challenge! The first place prize was big money! $420! DJ showed great improvement in nearly every category. The numbers didn’t lie. He definitely worked his butt off to win. 2nd place in weight loss, 2nd in fat loss, 2nd in Baseline improvement, 2nd in Grace improvement, 3rd in The Heater improvement, and a couple other top 10 finishes in other categories. The only thing holding him back from completely running away with the title was he couldn’t log many Personal Records because he’s never done many of the workouts before.
Also congrats to our 2nd place and 3rd place finishers Cory Frank and Byron Hetrick. Cory took home $200 and Byron won $80. Like DJ, Cory and Byron worked their butts off and had big all-around improvement. Cory scored big with top 5 finishes in attendance and Personal Records, proving that an experienced CFIer can make a big run at winning the Challenge! Meanwhile, Byron transformed over the last 4 months, losing nearly 9% body fat for a 1st place finish in that category. He also improved the most at “Grace”.
Hats off to everyone that took on the Spring Challenge! We can’t wait to do it again this Fall! Next time around we’re planning a few changes to make things bigger and better than ever before.
