Thursday’s WOD

Thursday is Sweetwater Farm CSA delivery day! Lynn will be dropping off our shares at 10 am. Come pick up your share package of farm-fresh food as soon as you can!

A group of CFI members is organizing a snow retreat! Join them for skiing or snow shoeing on a Saturday in early March. The date and time is to be determined. There’s a sign-up list at the box on the main board. For more information you can contact Patrick Miller at pgmiller27@yahoo.com.

Sorry Parents but Christy has to work this Friday. She won’t be able to come in and watch your kids during the 9:30am session. Would anyone like to volunteer to take Friday as a rest day and watch the kiddos?

We’re 1 week away from the release of the first Open workout! Each week for 5 weeks CrossFit will release 1 workout on Wednesday. We have till Sunday for everyone to complete the workout and submit their scores.

Please register and list CrossFit Intensify as your affiliate, if you haven’t already! It’s important that CFI is listed as your affiliate. If you fail to complete this step in the registration process, we cannot add you to our affiliate team and you will not be part of our Battle of the Sexes competition!

BEGINNERS! Don’t fear! Anyone can participate in The Open! It’s just $20 to register for the 5-week experience of a lifetime. Check this helpful article out: The Open for Beginners. So who cares if you’re not going to “win?!” I’m not planning on qualifying for Regionals in the individual competition and I’ve been CrossFitting for years now. Many of our other participants feel exactly the same way.

We’ll be changing the schedule a bit for this 5-week event. Here are the important changes to the CFI schedule:

  • Additional Wednesday session reserved for Open participants – 1:30 pm
  • Wednesday Group Workout Sessions reserved for the Open WOD – 2:30 & 3:30 pm
  • Saturday CFI WOD will be replaced by The Open WOD
  • Saturday Group Workout Schedule – 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, & 11:00
  • CFI Members may substitute The Open WOD for the CFI WOD anytime (Wed-Sun) IF A JUDGE IS AVAILABLE. Please try to schedule this substitution with a coach so we can ensure you have a judge.
